Rural Teachers’ Training Programme
Rural Teachers’ Training Programme offers training to build the capacity of teachers, and is designed to cater to their specific needs. The programme reflects the commitment of CWS-P/A to bridge the gap in teaching standards and skills between the more privileged private schools largely located in the urban centres and the less well resourced schools in the rural areas.
CWS-P/A believes that every child has a basic right to get quality education without social or economic discrimination. To make this possible, CWS-P/A is trying to create and develop an appropriate teaching environment which can provide meaningful education to children living in rural areas. To enhance their ability of thinking and analysing situations, emphasis is given to creativity and innovation and formal rote learning methods are discouraged. As a result, students and teachers have a strong mutual rapport and no corporal punishment is used for any disciplinary action.
